Charlotte
My name is Charlotte. Since joining Beeston Village Community Centre Pantry, my family and I have enjoyed a much more balanced, varied diet. We’ve been encouraged to try new recipes and ingredients we wouldn’t ordinarily think to use, making mealtimes far more exciting. The change hasn’t just been about food – the social and community aspect has been just as important. The connections I’ve made
have improved my mental health enormously. When I was struggling with a new born baby who had colic, the other ladies offered so much kindness, help, and advice. Without the Pantry, I know I would have felt more lonely and anxious about being a new mum. Having that support network has made a huge difference to my confidence and wellbeing. The variety in our meals has noticeably improved my family’s overall health. The Pantry is affordable, accessible, brings people together, builds friendships, and creates a sense of belonging – something I truly value.”
