Our new Raising Aspirations project supports families and disabled people to move closer to training and employment. We use a whole family approach to tackle multi-generational worklessness. It provides one to one support and a network of peer led groups for families facing barriers to employment, education and training, aiming to break longstanding cycles of unemployment within families and encourage multiple generations into employment or training.
The project is funded by European Structural and Investment Funds until March 2022 and operates within LS10, LS11 and Morley. To make Raising Aspirations as accessible as possible, an innovative ‘Raising Aspirations’ Minibus – provided by Health for All Community Transport – will provide pop-up events and sessions close to people’s homes within the areas listed above.
