Stronger Families is a service supporting parents into training, education and employment. Funded by the National Lottery Community Fund and the European Social Fund, Stronger Families focuses on addressing challenges including debt, housing advice, budgeting, health and wellbeing and the transition to work.
Taking part is entirely voluntary and is available to anyone who meets the eligibility criteria which includes being a parent with at least one child resident in the family home.
How does the Stronger Families Programme work?
Following referral, parents will be allocated a Key Worker who will work alongside them for six months. Key Workers are there to make sure the needs of the parents are being met and will bring in specialists, when needed, to provide additional support on a range of issues.
The programme also links in with a range of services that provide support for:
- Children with Special Education Needs
- Domestic Abuse
