Change 4 Life

Change4Life was launched in 2009 as part of a national ambition set out by the government. Its purpose has been to inspire a social movement, through which government, the NHS, local authorities, businesses, charities, schools, families and community

leaders can all play a part in improving children’s diets and physical activity levels.

Change4life is delivered and promoted by the Health for All Active Clubs Experience Project. Change4life encourages children, parents and carers to make healthy eating choices and equipping and supporting them with life skills to do so.  The Change4Life service aims to ensure that children, young people and families are supported to be healthy and happy in the communities where they live, learn and play.

Change4Life sessions involve families in cost effective cooking lessons, children can join in with meal preparation, which promotes lifelong healthy eating habits.

HENRY trained staff deliver parent clubs on nutrition and portion sizes, positive mealtime behaviours and practical strategies for healthy routines.
