Friends of Middleton Park
Friends of Middleton Park aims to regenerate and maximise the use of the park by local people through a programme of events, including walks, musical and theatrical performances and school events. The project is run by a dedicated team of volunteers.
A nationally recognised voluntary archaeological study of mine remains in the park and a bid for Lottery funding for renovation. Middleton Railway – the oldest working railway in the world.
