Intensive Family Support
The Intensive Family Support service to Children’s Centres in South Leeds
provides intensive support to families with children from birth to 5 years designed to improve children’s health, learning, enjoyment, achievement and safety.
Services include one to one family support, weekly family teatime clubs, summer activity programmes, breast feeding advice, Grab 5 Fruit and vegetable delivery service and support groups.
Support groups include those for young parents, refugees and asylum seekers, dads, families affected by domestic violence and with anger management needs and families of children with disabilities.
The service offers practical advice on debt, benefits, budgeting and parenting and assistance with substance misuse or alcohol problems and works in close partnership with Children’s Centres, Social Care and health professionals.
